Mrs. Bishop and several of her HS students took @PCS_Pride’s planetarium to @dcstigers Elem. and gave presentations to their K-6 students. The planetarium was purchased for PCS through a grant provided by the Perkins Co. Schools Foundation. Special thanks also goes out to Mr. Loghry for setting up his telescopes to add to our students learning adventure.

Dundy County Stratton Volleyball not only made a historic run with a 4th Place finish at State — but also brought home the D2 Sportsmanship Award! A true reflection of the respect, integrity, and class our Tigers showed every step of the way. Way to represent DCS with pride!

The DCS FFA is very excited to announce that we have been selected as a Governor's Agricultural Excellence Award recipient!

"The Governor’s Awards of Excellence, sponsored by NIFA, recognizes outstanding projects and activities of agricultural education programs and FFA chapters in Nebraska.
The awards are to encourage programs and chapters to develop programming that engages students in solving problems beyond those that exist today. Students are encouraged to apply technology and scientific principles as well as increase agricultural knowledge through student, chapter and community development activities."

As part of their study on how celebrations express cultural values, Spanish students recently explored Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), learning about the traditions and elements that make up this cultural celebration. Spanish 2 students also decorated their own calaveras (skulls), one of the elements of the holiday. Later they will create their own papel picado for the classroom and will read a fiction novel centered around this celebration.
