FFA Wednesday:
We started the morning with Drive Your Tractor to School Day (finally… after years of bad weather) and we had 6 full size tractors, a sprayer, 2 utility tractors, 2 lawnmowers, and multiple toy tractors! Thank you to everyone who brought a tractor!
Today’s dress up theme was “FFA is for EVERYONE - Country & Country Club” this was a lot of fun, thanks to those who dressed up!
Finally the officers spent their lunch and afternoon at the elementary, promoting and teaching agricultural literacy to students! Coloring with the Preschool; 2nd grade learned about the products we use everyday and if it comes from plants or animals; 3rd graders learned new facts about pigs (and some common hogwash or myths); 4th grade learned about all the people that go into getting our food from farm to fork; 5th grade learned all about the four main food groups and how important exercise is in a healthy lifestyle; and 6th grade learned about the crossbreeding of cattle in the United States.
Happy National FFA Week everyone!
