The McCook Paint-In held April 12 was another great day for the Art students of DCS.
Senior Hope Sandmann received two medals for her outstanding photography, 3rd and 2nd.

Congratulations to these 9 members on being selected to represent our chapter next school year! Installation of these officers in their new positions will be announced on Thursday during our banquet! ALSO A HUGE SHOUTOUT TO ALL 17 MEMBERS THAT APPLIED FOR A POSITION! Our interview committee spent 4 & 1/2 hours interviewing students for these positions! Thank you to the interview committee for volunteering your time to ensure the success of our chapter next year!


FBLA State Leadership Conference 2024 Results Summary - way to go to all of our competitors. You all did great! Special recognition to Klayton, Laynee, Jasper, Alyssa, and Emily.




Congratulations to our DCS FBLA members who competed at the State Leadership Conference. What a great group of kids that helped meet the requirements for our chapter awards. Due to Tuesday's weather forecast the Chase County Track and Field Invitational will be moved from Tuesday to Wednesday, April 17th. The field events will start at 9:00 AM with first running events at 10:30 AM.

Perkins County Golf Invite scheduled for Tuesday, April 16th is being rescheduled to Monday, April 15th NOW starting at 10AM mt. Please take note of date and time change!!!

Mr. Schaub has announced the dates and times for Driver's Ed. Classroom Instruction will take place May 20-24 (mandatory). Driving will be scheduled flexibly through June. Contact Mr. Schaub if you have questions.

Congratulations to the DCS Elementary and Junior High Quiz Bowl teams at the ESU15 competition held on Tuesday, April 9. The Junior High took second place and the Elementary took third. Way to go Tigers!

GGs to our Rocket League and Fortnite Esports Teams. Rocket League 1 and Fortnite teams were defeated in Round 1 while Rocket League 2 was defeated in the 2nd Round of Playoffs. Great season for all!

We are certified for Driver’s Education again. Mr. Matt Schaub will be the DCS Instructor. We are still determining if this will be for 9-12 or if JH will be let in. See you all in the classrooms.

We are honored to have Phil Chalmers in our building and District today and tomorrow. Phil is an expert in Profiling Dangerous People and an authority on school safety. Thank you to Dundy County and the DUNDY County Sheriff's Office and Sheriff King for bringing him to our community. There were law enforcement professionals from three states here today. That's a wrap on FCCLA's State Leadership Conference 2024 in Lincoln, NE. Focus on Children team placed 3rd and earned a gold medal, Event Management is bringing home a silver medal, and Professional Presentation earned a bronze.
