Our DCS Elementary raised over 3200.00 for the American Heart Association during their Heart Challenge! Thank you to the High School students for volunteering to get a whip cream pie to the face! Hats off to Mrs Wonderly for organizing this event!











It is said that the highest level of reasoning is necessary to judge the work of others. This was displayed today by our judges! Impressive work made harder by the quality of projects created by students. What a great day!



Congratulations to all of our science fair finalists and a huge thanks to the judges (not pictured, Torri L.) that volunteered their time!! High school finalists: Kennedy B., Lexie R., Emma B., Emily S., & Abi F. Junior high finalists: Gary S., Tagen Y., DJ S., Maelee F., & Kayla W. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for junior high and high school will be announced on Friday. Boards will remain on display today until 7:00 pm if you want to come check them out!

Wow! Just WOW!! The science projects on display in our gymnasium today are incredible. Great job DCS students and good luck as you present your findings. A huge thank you to Mrs. Hinojosa and Mrs. Carmichael for all the work in getting this event organized and realized.

DCS is headed back to state. They emerge as the D1-7 District Champions. They beat Sutton 46-33 to advance.











Congratulations to the high school quiz bowl team! They won their pool to make finals and ended up taking 4th place yesterday at Southwest High School!

We are taking a fan bus to Southern Valley tomorrow. It will leave from the high school at 2:15 PM. A reminder that school does not dismiss until 2:30 PM so parents/guardians you will need to call and excuse your student to ride the bus.

Victory: Emma B. takes the Gold in Program of Interpretation and the Gold in Poetry Interpretation at the Holdrege Speech Meet on February 24th. In addition, Laken W. places 7th in Varsity Persuasive, and Owen M. places 4th in Novice Persuasive. Congratulations DCS Speakers!


There will be a 2:30 PM dismissal tomorrow, February 27 at DCS Schools. We play basketball in Southern Valley (Oxford) at 5:30 PM Mountain against Sutton. Good luck to our boys as they seek to advance into the State Basketball Tournament. We hope to see you all there.
